Pretty Little Hat/Floral Pins

Pretty Hat/Floral Pins

A few months ago I was sitting in my art room making little pins using up some of my beads from various materials while I listened to classical piano playing on my cd player in combination with my sweet beagle snoring as she slept in her bed near me.  I wanted to use up some of the beads I had kept in my bead box for a long time as well as use up some of the fabric beads I made earlier last year.  I also wanted to use up some of the hat and floral pins I had on hand. I have two types. One type has a white top on the pin and the other has a green top on the pin. I wasn’t crazy about the green top ones for all the pins I was making so I took some of my Ranger Alcohol Inks and painted the tops different color combinations. I really like how they came out.  You can use them on tags, ATC’s, in your journals and any way you can think of. Or, you can do what I do and just display them on a pretty pin cushion just to enjoy looking at until you have a need for them.

Until next time.

    1. Thanks Tammie 🙂 No, I didn’t film the pin making. I may do a short video on how I changed the colors of the pin heads when I can though. 🙂

  1. Oh, Laurie, a beautiful way to display a gorgeous collection! And I must add, your opening line is more beautiful than anything because it is you, the Laurie we know. When I saw your post, it made me smile! So happy to see you crafting, hugs for you and hugs with wings for Baylee, Debra
