Rag Tag Bag – Yeah, baby! Yeah!

Rag Tag Bag – Inspiration/Quote/Art Book

I’ve been talking about my paper bag project in the last few videos I have put up on You Tube.  So I must be on a paper bag kick because the other day we went to the grocery store and we bought some Ginger Beer, a non alcoholic beverage, that is awesome and has “ginger bite” to it but that is beside the point.  We have started asking the person bagging our groceries to wrapped the bottles individually because for some reason they want to put the bottles in a plastic bag all together unprotected, but that’s another story. lol Anyway, now they put each bottle into a small paper bag.  Of course I kept them and could imagine all sorts of cute projects.  I wasn’t about to let them sit around too long so I sat down the other day and made some little journals that can be used for inspiration, words, quotes, photos or anything you like.  There isn’t much room for growth with this design so keeping it simple is best and they turn out so cute.  So how did they get their name you ask?  Well, “Rag” represents the fabric I use. “Tag” is because I used tags on each page.  And, “Bag” is because, well, it’s a bag. lol  Check out the photos below and if you would like to know how I made them hop over to YouTube and check out the video.

Let’s Visit The Flower Pot

The Flower Pot

I have a scrap journal where I use up a lot of my paper scraps by creating journal pages with them.  I take leftover scraps and glue them to a blank page.  Then, I use the designs in the scraps to create a page or I paint in areas of the scraps or I just get inspired along the way and an idea comes to my mind and a page evolves.  The other day I had some extra scraps and I was in the mood to create in my scrap journal.  After glueing down all the scraps I was inspired by all the tiny flower cuts in the paper so I used up some leftover paper flowers I had cut from one of my dies a long time ago for another project and away we went.   I really like how this page turned out. I hope you do too.
