Can you believe January is almost over!!! All I did was blink and poof, it was gone. lol
I have a little project I worked on last year that I never shared with you guys. I have some rolls of burlap that I really love and I thought I would use some of it to create a little journal. Inside the journal I used up some 12 x 12 scrapbook paper I have had for a while. I just cut the 12 x 12 paper in half making them 12 x 6 pieces. On the outside I used a lot of left over fibers I had in my stash as well as fabric, trim and lace scraps. I used an old button and a piece of twine for the closure and the twine wraps around the journal giving it room to grow a little bit. The tag on the front of the journal is a tag I used to wipe off excess paint from another project. I left it in that ‘unfinished’ state and just glued it to the front of the journal. I really like how that looks. I also added a smaller bit of lace scrap and a button to the tag. I think it’s really cute and I love all of the texture and color it has. It’s amazing what you can do with your scraps and leftover papers. Give it a try.
See you soon,
Laurie
